Abstract

Objective: To explore the safety and experience of laparoscopic operation in the treatment of inguinal hernia. Methods: A retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 70 patients who suffered from inguinal hernia and underwent laparoscopic treatment from May 2011 to May 2012 in haiyan county people's hospital. Those included 58 cases of inguinal hernia and 12 cases of direct hernia.60 patients were treated by transabdominal preperitoneal prosthesis(TAPP),and 10 patients underwent totally extraperitoneal prosthesis(TEP).Results: The operation time of TAPP was between 30 and 61 min,the average time was(42.6 ± 4.3) min,the postoperative hospital stay was between 3 and 7 d,the average was(3.5 ± 1.3) d.The operation time of TEP was between 33 and 58 min,the average time was(41.3 ± 5.2) min,the postoperative hospital stay was between 3 and 6 d,the average was(3.4 ± 1.5) d.There were two cases of seroma and two cases of scrotum effusion after the operation. Conclusions: Compared with traditional hernia repair, laparoscopy in the treatment of inguinal hernia has the advantages of easy operation, small incision and quick recovery, there is no significant difference in curative effect,TAPP and TEP can be chosen according to the doctors' clinical experience.
