Abstract
The molluscs in the intertidal zone of Shangchuan island were collected from 2011-2013.A total of 172 species belonging to 46 families, were identified.Among them,82 species belong to 25 families of Gastropoda,90 species belong to 21 families of Bivalvia. The results show that the most advantageous species in fauna of mollusk on the intertidal zone of Shangchuan island are the tropical and subtropical warm water species distributed in the South China Sea,and the subtropical warm water species distributed in the East China Sea and the South China Sea.Some economic value species recorded in history data have disappeared.Due to the aquaculture, the unicity of mollusc species in mudflat appears. The ecological menace on other mollusks, caused by the cultivation of foreign fast-growing species,Argopecten irradians concentricus, should be evaluated.
