On Zhang Wanfu' s Costume Aesthetic Thoughts

Abstract

Influenced by the primary tendency of costume culture of the Tang dynasty,some Taoist scholars such as Zhang Wanfu began to pay attention to the aesthetic characteristics of costume. Deviated from the Taoist costume' s pure religious regulation,their research interests changed to the beauty of the costume itself and the ethic aesthetic thoughts involved in the costume.By using the characteristics of costume art,Taoist scholars tried to carry out aesthetic education of Taoist disciples,which represents Taoist costume aesthetic thoughts.
