Abstract
Styrene / acrylatemicro- emulsion was prepared by pre- emulsification method with styrene( St),methylmethacrylate( MMA),butyl acrylate( BA) and acrylics acid( AA) as the monomers. The reaction conditions such as reaction temperature and initiator dosage on the performance of as- synthesized styrene acrylic emulsion were systematically studied. The results showed that the styrene / acrylate micro- emulsion with higher solid content had good combination property when mass fractions of initiator was 0. 7%,mass ratio of m( BA) ∶m( MMA + St) was 4∶6 and the reaction temperature was 85 ℃.
