On Cultivating Students' English Communicative Competence in Classroom Teaching

The ultimate goal of learning English is to use English proficiently in communication.Therefore,to develop students communicative competence is an important goal of English teaching.Because of lacking natural language environment,classroom teaching is the main process of students' language acquisition.College's classroom English teaching should help students to develop their English communication ability.However,under the effect of traditional English classroom teaching model,teachers are inclined to instruct linguistic knowledge but neglect the cultivating of students' communicative competence and cross-culture awareness.In this case,it is very necessary for institutions to explore a more practical,easier way to improve students' communicative competence.Based on this,this article focusese on discussing the strategies of cultivating students'communicative competence in colleage classroom teaching.
