Abstract
To investigate the children's food preferences and its influence factors in Fuzhou. 5 kindergartens in Fuzhou were selected by cluster random sampling and 778 children's parents were investigated with a questionnaire. SPSS package was used for data processing. Milk and snacks (ice-cream, jelly, Cock-Cola and fry chicken) were favorite for children in 24 kinds of foods. 25% of children disliked fish, chicken or ducks cooked, vegetables, bean curd, carrots, mushroom and buns. The food preferences in boys was different from girls for some foods (meat, fish, orange, vegetables and so on). Children's food preferences were related to their food intake (P0.01). Children and their mother's preferences showed positive correlation (P0.01). Preparing home food scientifically by parents and having good diet habits should be promoted. And good health education should be carried out in schools for children.
