Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the solid fermentation for xylanase production by Aspergillus niger.[Method] The single-factor tests and orthogonal experiment were employed to evaluate the optimal fermentation conditions for xylanase production by solid-state fermentation with Aspergillus niger.[Result]The optimum conditions for producing xylanase are as follows:the ratio of wheat bran:cob in medium 5∶3,(NH4)2SO4 1.0 %,KH2PO4 0.2%,CaCl2 0.1%,MgSO4 0.1%,the ratio of solid to fluid 1∶1.7,the inoculum 1.0%,the initial pH 7.5,the temperature 28 ℃,and the time for fermentation 60 h.Under those conditions, the enzyme activity of xylanase roduced by the strain reached 14 698.21 IU/g dry medium.[Conclusion]This study was meaningful for the production and application of xylanase in industry.
