Abstract
Biodiesel was produced from waste oil by transesterification reaction with H2SO4as catalyst. The effects of the molar ratio of methanol to oil, dosage of catalyst, reaction temperature, reaction time on the transesterfication ratio of biodiesel were studied. The results show that the best extraction conditions are as follows: the mole ratio of methanol to oil is 4﹕1,H2SO4 dosage is 2.5%(w/w),reaction temperature is 55 ℃,reaction time is 120 min.Under the optimum conditions, the transesterification rate can reach to 94.36%.The major properties of biodiesel accord with those of the biodiesel standard. The biodiesel fuel may be blended with 0# diesel fuel at any ratio.
