Abstract
Objective:To study the relationship between expressed prostatic secretion(EPS) white blood cells(WBC) counts and semen major parameters. Methods:EPS routine examination and UU detection were carried out;Semen major parameters, abnormal morphological sperm rate, sperm acrosin reaction, and AsAb were measured and analyzed in 260 infertile men according to WHO laboratory handbook about human semen. Results:ESP WBC≥10/HP were 75 cases in 238 male infertility, set up into inflammatory group;ESP WBC10/HP were 163 cases, set up into non-inflammatory group.Semen concentration, motility,a+b grade motility, and sperm acrosin reaction rate in inflammatory group were lower than in non-inflammatory group(P0.05);Longer liquifying time, higher abnormal morphological sperm,ESP UU infection rate and AsAb positive rate were observed in inflammatory(P0.05);Sperm volume and pH value were not significantly different between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:ESP WBC counts have effect on sperm quality, which can be considered as one of the important reasons resulting in male infertility.
