The Root of Minorities’ Traditional Physical Culture in China

Tracing the long tradition of the national physical culture makes it easy to fully understand and grasp its cultural value. This paper makes it clear that the formation of the minority P.E. in China is due to religious belief, warfare, hunting, folk customs, marriage and agricultural production .The conclusion is that the development of minority P.E. must accord with the characteristics of the nationality, science and our age.
