Analysis on the Forming and Evolvement Reasons of Sheng Xuanhuai's Industrial Thought

Sheng Xuanhuai was an official entrepreneur who had huge influence in modern China's economic development.There are three phases in the production and evolvement of his industrial thought.His father's influence and the rising of Westernizations facilitated the production of his thought of Application of Classics.Li Hongzhang's favoring and the practice in the government-supervised and merchant-run enterprises led to the forming of his thought on government-supervised and merchant-run enterprises.The political and economical conditions in late Qing period and the deepening national crisis contributed to the maturity of his thought on running industry by merchants.
