Abstract

Some usual methods have been attempted to extract chlorogenic acid from flos lonicerae, but satisfactory results cannot be achieved. After studied on a lot of characters of flos lonicerae and chlorogenic acid from the experiment,it was designed to use alcohol-water mixture as extractant and hydrochloric acid to prevent ionization interference, extract chlorogenic acid from flos lonicerae with back flow in water-bath.Using the greatly different solubility of chlorogenic acid in hot and cold alcohol, chlorogenic acid was dissolved in hot alcohol and precipitated in cold alcohol. In the experiment, the effect of alcohol concentration, solvents volume, temperature of water-bath,reflux time and pH value of solution were studied.Using orthogonal design, the optimum conditions were chosen. The optimum conditions are: alcohol concentration,40%;solvents volume,12 fold;temperature of water bath,80℃;reflux time,2.5h;pH value of solution,6.
