Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect of electroacupuncture of behavior changes in chronic fatigue rats and the mechanism.Methods:96 SD rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group, model electroacupuncture group(EA group),sham injection group(SI group),CRF injection group(CRF group),CRF injection and electroacupuncture group(CRFEA group),CRFA injection group(CRFA group),CRFA injection and electroacupuncture group(CRFAEA group). All the rats except the normal group rats were restrainted and swam in cool water. The rats in the CRF group,CRFEA group,CRFA group and CRFAEA group were intracerebroventricular injected. The rats in the SI group were sham intracerebroventricular injected. The rats in the EA group,CRFEA group and CRFAEA group were treated by electroacupuncture on BL23,ST36.The exhaustive swimming time,Finding the platform time of Morris water maze test and reaction time to pain were tested. Results:After modeling, comparison with normal group, the exhaustive swimming time and reaction time to pain in the other groups were significantly shorter(P0.05),and the finding the platform time were significantly longer(P0.05).After treatment, comparison with model group, the exhaustive swimming time and reaction time to pain in EA groups and CRFEA group were significantly longer(P0.05),and the finding the platform time were significantly shorter(P0.05).Conclusion:Electroacupuncture can alleviate physical and mental fatigue and improve pain threshold in chronic fatigue rats. The CRH in hypothalamus is important to electroacupuncture.
