Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of positive end expirtory pressure(PEEP) on central venous pressure(CVP) in patients with mechanical ventilation. Methods This is a prospective self-controlled study-30 patients were enrolled in study with MV and CVP measurement in intensive care unit.CVP,heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP),and respiration rate(RR) were obtained simultaneously under at various PEEP levels of 0、2、4、6、8、10 and 12 cmH2O.Results The CVP value got an increase with a rise of PEEP.There was asignificant positive correlation between CVP is the key to guide the fluid therapy. Conclusion The use of CVP to guide fluid therapy is the key to the observed CVP dynamic change trend.
