Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of positive end expiratory pressure(PEEP) on central venous pressure(VCP) in the process of mechanical ventilation. Methods The CVP was measured when 30 patients with mechanical ventilation were in various level of PEEP(0~13 cmH2O).Results The CVP value got an increase with a rise of PEEP.The CVP value was positive correlated with PEEP(r=0.993).Conclusion PEEP has much effect on CVP.
