Abstract

Photonic Bandgap-photonic Crystal Fibers(PBG-PCF) have enormous using prospect in many fields because of their unique performance. We describe the light-guiding mechanism of photonic bandgap-photonic crystal fibers. PBG-PCF is divided into Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fibers and solid-state Photonic Bandgap-photonic Crystal Fibers, and discuss their properties and applications respectively.
