An Evaluation of Urban Competitiveness of Anhui Province

According to 15 indexes of 17 cities in Anhui Province,this paper delves into the urban competitiveness of the province,making a principal component analysis method through SPSS and EXCEL to get scores and classification of urban competitiveness of Anhui Province,and then spatially expressing the regional characteristics of the urban competitiveness with MAPGIS software.It is found that the major influencing factors of its urban competitiveness are economic comprehensive strength and foreign trade,and the urban competitiveness takes on one-point and two-line mode in spatial distribution and industry distribution mode,and is uneven in distribution.In view of these findings,the paper suggests expanding radiation effects of the one-point and two-line urban competitiveness,and enhancing the urban competitiveness through industrial planning and adjustment and investment on science,culture,education,infrastructure and resources environment.
