On the Differences between Qiannong and Qili in Twenty-four Poems by Si Kongtu——Reflections on A Study of Twenty-four Poems and Wang Wei’s Poetic Style by Zhang Guoqing

Zhang Guoqing points out that the beauty of Qiannong is of bijou,tiny but artful.The researcher thinks that bijou does mean little.Qili is no less of beauty,but stresses the contrast beauty between the light and bright,which is more precious and gracious.The differences between the two works are that Qiannong emphasizes on glamorous beauty in brightness,while Qili deliberately saves rich description to strengthen the contrast.
