Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of Propofol on myocardium injury induced by ischemia-reperfusion. Methods The rat limb ischemia reperfusion model was established, and Propofol was intravascularly injected before reperfusion. The signs of myocardium injury were observed by using microscope, the expression of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and nuclear factor(NF)-κB were qualitatively and semi-quantitatively detected by using immunohistochemical method, and the radioimmunoassay was used to detected the TNF-α quantitatively. Results ① Myocardium injury can be induced by ischemia-reperfusion, and the level of TNF-α and NF-κB were higher in the model group than those in control group (P0.05). ② The level of TNF-α and NF-κB were all declined after implementing the intervention of Propofol, compared with those before intervention (P0.05). Conclusion ① Myocardium injury can be induced by ischemia-reperfusion. ② Propofol can play a protective role in the myocardium injury induced by ischemia-reperfusion.
