Abstract

Objective:To explore an optimal method of chromosomal preparation of chorionic villus cells and its clinical significance. Methods:Chromosomal preparation of chorionic villus cells in 112 cases was conducted with direct-preparation method or cultivation method, respectively, then karyotype analysis was carried out.Results:38 cases were diagnosed as chromosomal abnormality, the incidence was 33.9%.The common abnormal karyotype was chromosome number abnormality, accounting for 68.4%(26 cases),including 16 cases of trisomy syndrome(42.1%),5 cases of monosomy syndrome(13.2%) and 5 cases of triploidy syndrome(13.2%);the other chromosomal abnormalities included chimera(2 cases,5.3%) and structural abnormality(10 cases,26.3%).Conclusion:Threatened abortion and spontaneous abortion are related to occurrence of chromosomal abnormality directly, chromosomal examination plays an important role in seeking predisposing factors of spontaneous abortion and choosing appropriate therapy, cultivation method is superior to direct-preparation method in chromosomal examination of chorionic villus cells, which deserves clinical expansion.
