Abstract

Objective:To analysis the pathogenesis of cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome and mechanism of Pizhen therapy.Methods:Seventy-eight patients suffered from cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome were treated with Pizhen. The age ranged from nineteen to sixty-three,the average was 39 8.Among them, there were thirty-five male and forty-three female. There were 18 patients suffered from occipitalis major nerve entrapment syndrome, five from occipitalis minor nerve entrapment syndrome,twenty-seven from suprascapularis nerve entrapment syndrome, four from transversal colli nerve entrapment syndrome,twenty-four from subscapularis nerve entrapment syndrome. The main symptom of cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome was the pain of neck and shoulder. The effect was evaluated by change of symptom. Results:Among all patients,fifty-four were fully recovered, sixteen were significant effective, eight were effective. Conclusion:Pizhen therapy can decrease the tensility of fascia, release the adhesion, eliminate the cicatrix, and relieve the pressure and stimulation of sensory nerve ending.
