Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effects of vitrectomy on retinal detachment(RD) after posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation.MethodsSixty-eight cases of RD after ECCE or PAHCO with PCIOL were treated with vitrectomy and were reviewed.ResultsThe retinas were totally reattached in 63 cases(92.6%) The resultant rate of visual acuity the eyes with FC~0.1 was 36.8%,with 0.1~0.3 was 38.2%,and with 0.3 or better was 25%.ConclusionVitrectomy is one of the effective methods to treat the eyes with RD and PCIOL.
