Abstract

[Objective]To dynamically observe the detection rate and variation of drug resistance of ESBLs-producing Klebsiella in PLA No.174 Hospital from October 2006 to September 2009,and provide evidence for reasonable use of antibiotics in clinic.[Methods]ESBLs were detected by the method recommended by National Committee for Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (NCCLS/CLSI).The antibiotic susceptibility was tested by the Kirby-Bauer method and the data were analyzed by the software of WHONETS.3.The antibiotics susceptibility test data of either ESBLs-producing or non-producing strains was analyzed comparatively.[Results]Of 369 strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae,211 strains were ESBLs positive, occupying 57.2%.And the positive rate increased annually in recent 3 years. The antibiotic resistance rate of ESBLs-producing strains was higher than that in non-producing strains, with multi-antibiotic resistance.[Conclusion]The positive rate of ESBLs producing Klebsiella pneurnoniae increases annually in this hospital,so that imipenem is preferred for clinical treatment.
