Abstract
Objective To analyze the association between high-sensitive C-reactive protein(hsCRP) and diabetic nephropathy(DN) in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods According to the results of urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER),72 cases of T2DM were divided into normal albumin urinary group(A),micro albumin urinary group(B),and clinical albumin urinary group(C).Thirty healthy subjects were enrolled as control(D).The blood levels of hsCRP of all groups were measured. Results There was significant difference in hsCRP level between group A,B,C and control group. The level of hsCRP was increased with the increase of UAER. Conclusions hsCRP is one of the risk factors for DN.Increased hsCRP might be related to the progression of DN.
