Abstract
For obtaining structure of overlying strata above long-wall mining face in shallow buried coal seam, this paper applied numerical simulation and theoretical analysis to researching rock failure characteristic and discussing roof structure, taking typical long-wall mining face in shallow buried coal seam as an example. It put forward new research thinking for working resistance calculation of powered support under shallow buried condition. Results showed that overlying strata still could form bearing structure above shallow buried long-wall mining face. This structure provided protection for powered support.Actual observation data proved the results.
