Abstract
In order to obtain overlying strata movement rule of full-mechanized caving mining shallow buried thick coal-seam in a mine, western area of China, analogue simulation was made to analyzing it from different conditions. Results obtained first cave and periodical cave pace of basic roof, cave form of overlying strata,three-zone characteristics and strata displacement characteristic, which provided reference for safe mining of coal-seam with similar geological condition.
