Abstract
Notch signaling is highly conserved during the evolution of signaling pathways. It is widely found in invertebrates and vertebrates. It is also one of the major signaling pathways that mediate the direct contact between cells. It also regulates the proliferation and differentiation in the multicellular organism.Notch signaling's abnormally activation or structure activation or structure activation is association with a variety of structural organization of cancer pathogenesis. This paper reviews the composition of Notch signaling pathway and the relations between Notch signaling pathway's abnormal expression and tumor occurrence and development. It also includes discussion about the mechanisms of Notch signaling 's disorder-induced tumor formation, which is expected to be a new target for cancer therapy.
