Analysis of 19 ADR cases report about allergic shock induced by promethazine injection

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical features and disciplines of allergic shock induced by promethazine injection and provide information for rational use of promethazine injection in clinic.Methods:The case reports of allergic shock induced by promethazine injection from literatures were collected and analyzed.Results:19 cases of allergic shock induced by promethazine in-jection were searched during 1960 -2007,including 18 cases recuperated by anti-shock treatment and one case died.Conclusion:Promethazine injection could induce allergic shock,which should be paid attention to by clinician.
