Abstract
Objective:To study the optimum extraction process for chlorogenic acid in Flos Lonicerae . Methods:The extraction process was investigated by soaking, permeating, extracting with water and calcium hydroxide, and hot refluxing, with extractive yield and chlorogenic acid as the indexes. The above processes determined were then optimized by orthogonal design. Results: The optimum extraction process consists of adding 10 folds of 70% ethanol, refluxing for 2 times, 2 h each time, and extracting with ethyl acetate finally. Conclusion:The extraction process shows high yield rate of active constituents and good stability.
