Influence of Hyponatremia on the Prognosis in Patients with Hepatic Encephalopathy

Objective To explore the relationship between the level of natrum and liver function hepatic encephalopathy in liver cirrhosis patients with hepatic encephalopathy.Methods The clinical and laboratory data of 234 liver cirrhosis patients with hepatic encephalopathy were retrospectively analyzed.Results 65.8% patients accompanied with hyponatremia.The level of natrum had a closely relationship with liver function and the severity of hepatic encephalopathy in liver cirrhosis patients with hepatic encephalopathy.Conclusion The level of natrum showed correlation with liver function.The level of natrum was significantly lower in Child-pugh C group than that of B group.The level of natrum also related with the severity of hepatic encephalopathy.The degree of consciousness become serious with the decline of natrum.
