Abstract
In order to make a scientific and objective evaluation on coal mine safety and strengthen safety management, this paper presents a study on coal mine safety and its main contributing factors using factor analysis method. The results show that the difference of impact on mine safety from machinery and equipment is small, while other factors, such as management, staff, environment, etc.have a significant impact on coal mine safety.Management, staff and environment are considered as three working priorities in improving coal mine safety. The conclusion drawn from this study provides a good guide for coal mine safety management.
