Abstract

The significance of Mr Feng’s four narrative poems in his first poetry The Song of Yesterday lies in exploring the greater tragedy of destiny hidden behind the tragedy of love, which shifts his theme of literary creation to the purest self-pondering on “human beings” and “destiny”, and thus his poems transcend the times and strike our sympathetic chord.
