Abstract

Dynamic simulation of mechanism was carried out on certain type of moulded case circuit breaker based on UGS NX and ADAMS. By studying the influence of operating time of mechanism on short-circuit making-breaking ability of circtuit breakers and by changing the buckle to increase the operating velocity, the buckle size was modified to reduce the operating time and the handle spring force was increased to improve the operating velocity. The test data indicate the effectiveness of this simulation, which is useful for optimization design of operation mechanism.
