Abstract
Objective:To explore the function of MTA and calcium hydroxide in these two types of material in the restoration of endodontium and apex.Methods:168 patients which had been taken the pulpotomy and the apexification in our hospital from January 2005 to October 2009 were randomly divided into two groups, each 90 teeth. Then, used MTA and calcium hydroxide during the treatment respectively, and take a two-year average follow-up.Results:The treatment efficacy of MTA was more remarkable than the control group. Conclusion:MTA has more obvious clinical advantage than calcium hydroxide.
