Abstract

Objective To investigate the role of indwelling needle of femoral vein puncture in rescuing the patients with microcirculation disturbance. Methods Ninety-two patients with microcirculation disturbance were equally divided into the observation group(indwelling needle of femoral vein puncture)and the control group(indwelled needle in external jugular vein peripheral vein puncture) according to the admission sequence. The changes in vital signs, occurrence of side effects and first-time success rate of the puncture and average puncture time in the patients of both groups were observed. Results There were no significant changes in the vital signs of cardiac rate and blood pressure before and after the puncture(P0.05).The occurrence rates of detached needle, subcutaneous ecchymosis, needle obstruction and deep superficial phlebitis were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P0.05 or 0.01).The first-time success rate of femoral vein puncture of the observation group(97.8%)was superior to that(80.4%)of the control group. No significance was observed on the average puncture time between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Indwelling needle of femoral vein puncture can safely and effectively fulfill the requirements of timely rescuing and rapid fluid infusion in rescuing patients with microcirculation disturbance.
