Study of Treatment of Atorvastatin on Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

Abstract

Objective To study the efficacy of atorvastatin for paroxysmal auricular fibrillation,and its effects on LAD.Methods 70 cases of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation patients were selected randomly,which were divided into control group(35 cases)and atorvastatin group(35 Cases).And the two groups take medicine for 1 year.Compared with the efficacy,and LAD before and after the treatment between2groups.Results After the treatment of the two groups,the efficient of control group was80.0%,and atorvastatin group was85.71%(P0.05).Compard between 2 groups after treatment,LAD of the the atorvastatin group was significantly smaller than control group(P0.05).Conclusion The treatment with atorvastatin could prevent recurrence of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation through inhibiting the remodeling of left atrial.
