The Structuralistic Narratology:from Dualism to Integrity

In the 30 years after it became a substantive discipline,structuralistic narratology experienced a great change with its study category shifting from story or discourse to a “syncretic narratology”.The evolution of the narratology theory must throw its influences on the evolution and construction of the film narratology theory,as the general narratology does,film narratology observes a lot from structuralism and semeiology.The paper,with structural narratology as its basic theory,is trying to define the three evolution phases of narratology by analyzing the evolution of two key elements,story and discourse,and then finds the advantages and disadvantages of the theoretical paradigms in different phase.On the basis of the above,it tries to discuss the influences of structuralistil narratology theory on the film narrative theory.
