Abstract
Objective This study was aimed to investigate the correlation and expression of P16INK4A, P53, Ki-67 and estrogen(ER) in cervical lesions.Methods SP assay was used to detect the expressions of p16INK4A, p53, Ki-67 and ER in the cervix squamous cell carcinoma, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN),cervical condyloma acuminatum and normal cervical tissues.Results The expression rates of p16INK4A, p53, Ki-67 and ER were 100%, 86.4%, 86.4% and 4.6%in cervical squamous cell carcinoma,were 92.5%, 75.0%, 100% and 20.0% in CINⅢ, were 90.5%, 64.3%, 100% and 23.9% in CINⅡ, were 71.8%, 43.6%, 100% and 79.5% in CINⅠ, and were 39.0%, 43.9%, 26.9% and 61.0% in cervix condyloma,respectively.Strong staining of p16INK4A was observed mainly in cervical squamous cell carcinoma, CINⅢ and CINⅡ,and only mild staining was detected in cervical condyloma acuminatum. Strong staining of Ki-67 was mainly observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and CINⅢ. There were significant differences between cervical lesions ,including squamouscell carcinoma,CINⅢ, CINⅡ,CINⅠ and cervical condyloma, and controls in the expression of p16INK4A、p53 、Ki-67 and ER(P0.05).Conclusions There were close relationships between the over expression of p16INK4A, p53 proteins and the development of cervicol squamous cell carcinoma and CIN; there were direct correlations between the positive rates of expression p16INK4A, p53 and Ki-67 and the severity of the cervicol lesions, but ER had a inverse correlation with it.
