Abstract
Objective To explore the clinicopathologic significance of the different subtype of HPV,p16~(INK4A),p53,Ki-67 and ER expression in the diseased cervical tissues with different degree of severity.Methods In situ hybridisation and immunonhistochemistry were used to detect the expression of the different subtype of HPV,p16~(INK4A),p53,Ki-67 and ER in 204 cases of the diseased cervix tissues with different degree of severity.Results The positive rate of HPV in all specimens was 64.67%(119/184);HPV16/18 was mostly detected in the groups of cervical squamous cell carcinoma and CIN,especially in CINⅢ and CINⅡ subgroups;HPV31/33 was detected dominantly in group CINⅠ;The positive rate of HPV6/11 was highest in the group of condyloma acuminatum.The positive rates and staining intensity of p16~(INK4A),p53,and Ki-67 increased with the severity of diseased cervical tissues,however,the positive rates and staining intensity of ER decreased with the severity of diseased cervical tissues.There was close correlation between the expression of p16~(INK4A),p53,Ki-67 and HPV16/18 infection,and HPV 6/11 infection was related with the expression of ER. Conclusion The expression of HPV16/18,p16~(INK4A),p53 and Ki-67 increaseds obviously in cervical squamous cell carcinoma,CIN Ⅲ and CIN Ⅱ,and they may play a conjunctive role in the pathogenesis and development of cervical squamous cell carcinoma.p16~(INK4A) may have potential value in the differential diagnosis of neoplastic and non-neoplastic proliferation of cervix.
