Abstract
Based on panel data of industry from 1995 to 2005 and theory of efficiency, this paper analyzes the technical efficiency and TFP change of hi-tech industry by using the nonparametric Malmquist index approach. The results show: it is the improvement of technical progress rather than technical efficiency promote TFP growth rate of hi-tech industry, in addition, TFP and technological change are slow gradually with time varying, and technical efficiency, TFP and technological change are exist obvious differences between every industriy.
