Abstract
The effects of common heat treatment and cryogenic treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of 3Cr13 steel were studied using a SLX-30 cryogenic box with program control, and metallography microscope,SEM and HRC sclerometer. The results show that, compared with the common heat treatment, more carbides precipitation forms in the steel after cryogenic treatment; The hardness of the steel increases by 5.3 HRC,and the impacting toughness increases by 0.8 J after cryogenic treatment.
