Abstract
The rheological properties of two types of clay were studied in the lab,the effects of solid content, dosage of dispersant and pH on low shear rate viscosity and high shear rate viscosity of the slurries were investigated. The results showed that the optimum addition of dispersant for MMO1 is 0.15%(wt%), while for Premium is 0.08% . In order to get better high shear rate property, the pH of the slurry containing MMO1 should maintain over 8.0, and the pH of Premium slurry should be about 8.6. The solid content of the slurry containing MMO1 is better to control at 68%, and for the slurry containing Premium is 69%~70% .
