Abstract

To investigate the effects of solvents and moistures on the rheological property of the oil-coal slurry,a series of the viscosity of oil-coal slurries were measured at the temperatures of 30 ℃ to 70 ℃.It is found that solvent property is the primary built-in factor.Two solvents are both performed as the Newtonion fluid,and the oil-coal slurries did so at the lower concentration of 30% and the higher temperature of 70 ℃,otherwise they are performed as different types of the non-Newtonian fluids.The deviation degrees from Newtonian fluid are increased by the concentration increasing and the temperature decreasing for both of the two solvent slurries;however,the slurries prepared by the solvent PHO have the greater deviation together with the higher viscosity and thixotropy.The moisture of the coal also exertes an effect on the slurry rheological property,that is,the lower moisture resultes in the greater deviation from the Newtonian fluid,especially at the lower temperatures.
