Abstract
Three-dimensional nonlinear FEA model of radial tire including the geometric nonlinearity of large deformation, material nonlinearity, the anisotropy of rubber-cord composites, the nonlinerar boundary conditions from tire-pavement contact was established. The characteristics of radial tire under different belt angles were studied, and the relationship between load and deformation, the tire deformation, belt and carcass stress distribution were discussed. The analysis results could predict the tire characteristics and provide valid parameters for tire disign and optimization.
