Abstract
The hollow type suppository and the conventional type suppository were prepared with mixed fatty glyceride as the base;the content of metronidazole was determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry.The dissolution rate of the metronidazole hollow suppository was comparable to that of the conventional type suppository.The linear range of metronidazole was 3~15 μg/mL(r=0.999 8),with an average recovery rate of 99.26%(RSD=0.85%).Drug release rate of hollow type suppository is higher than the conventional type suppository.
