Abstract
With the molecular bio-technology,the calli derived from young embryos of japonica rice cultivars were transferred with BADH2 gene of tomato, which had been constructed to be overexpression vector mediated with Agrobacterium.A total of 303 independent Hygromycin(Hm) resistant calli were obtained, which produced 1059 transformed plantlets.115 transgenic plants were randomly selected to test Hm resistance with leaf segments screening. The results showed that most of transgenic plants tested were Hm resistance, coincident with the results of PCR,indicating that no escapee was existed in the transformants.
