Abstract

A method for the determination of 8 kinds of fatty acids in oils by GC-FID was developed.Fatty acids were methylated to fatty acid methyl ethers(FAMEs) by KOH in methanol.FAMEs were quantitatively measured by DB-WAX capillary gas chromatography.The recoveries of fatty acids ranged from 91.45%~107.55% with relative standard deviations less than 8%,and the detection limits were in the range of 0.29~1.10 μg/mL.With the high accurate and low detection limits,this method could be used in many laboratory detecting.
