Abstract
OBJECTIVE To understand the situation of sexual behavior among men who have sex with men (MSM),and to explore the influencing factors associated with condom use among MSM in Chengdu.METHODS A sample of 291 MSM was selected to conduct one-to-one questionnaire investigation through purposive sampling and snowball sampling together,and the influencing factors associated with condom use were analyzed by non-conditional Logistic regression model.RESULTS In the past six months,51.6% did not use condoms every time in the anal sex,90.2% of them had anal sex with men and48.5% of the responders had more than one sex partner.Logistic regression showed Monthly income, Free anti-virus treatment drugs provided by the government for HIV/AIDS patients and other AIDS related knowledge/information were the influencing factors associated with condom use among MSM.CONCLUSION Most MSM in Chengdu city have high-risk behavior,and intervention targeted to improve condom use might be helpful to reduce the risk of being infected.
