Abstract

Objective To understand situation of sexual behavior among men who have sex with men(MSM),and to explore influencing factors associated with number of sex partners among MSM in Chengdu. Methods A sample of 291 MSM was selected to conduct one-to-one questionnaire investigation through purposive sampling and snowball sampling together, and influencing factors associated with number of sex partners were analyzed by non-conditional Logistic regression model. Results In past six months,48.5% of responders had more than one sex partner,90.2% of them had anal sex with men,and 51.6% did not use condoms every time in anal sex.Logistic regression showed that the situation of condom use,You may meet one HIV-positive when having sex with 7 homosexual partners in and other two AIDS related knowledge/information were influencing factors associated with number of sex partners among MSM.Conclusion Most MSM in Chengdu have high-risk behaviors, and intervention targeted to behavior of multiple sex partners might be helpful to reduce risk of being infected.
