Survey and Analysis of Blood Lipid Levels for Pilots during Convalescence

Objective To make a survey and analysis of blood lipid levels for pilots during convalescence.Methods From 2009 to 2010,167 cases of male pilots were selected during convalescence as the pilot group,and 120 cases of healthy men as a control group.In the two groups,early morning fasting blood total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)were determined,and each index was analyzed.Results In pilot group,TC and TG and LDL-C were significantly higher,HDL-C/TC ratio was significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).The TC and TG of 35-46 years old pilots were higher than the 25-34 years old pilots,with statistically significant difference(P0.05).Elevated edge blood lipids was seen in 14 cases of the pilot group(8.38%)and 8 cases in the control group(6.67%),which was not statistically significantly different(P0.05).Conclusion The results showed that the pilot blood lipids are higher than the healthy population,which presents increasing trend with age.
